The Android users were getting upset because of no information of the Gingerbread update. Android Gingerbread 2.3 was launched by Google about a year ago hence it become obvious that consumers want the update by now. Furthermore, even the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has been released in some countries. Therefore, the requirement for the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update seems a must. Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the device, which will be powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is expected to be officially launched on 8th of December 2011. It would be really exciting to see what actually does Android 4.0 ICS has to offer to the consumers.

.
However, other Samsung Galaxy phones, such Samsung Galaxy Fit, Samsung Galaxy Mini and Samsung Galaxy Pop all are currently running on the previous version of Android OS, which is Android 2.2 Froyo. By the end of the year, all these phones will be running on Android 2.3 gingerbread for sure.

It is expected that Android 2.3 Gingerbread update is rolled out before the launch of much awaited and anticipated Smartphone, Samsung Galaxy Nexus (powered by Android 4.0 ICS). Samsung is trying very hard to make its consumers happy and it will surely succeed. The company has never let down its consumers in any way, be it with high end Smartphones or fully feature budget phones. And with the Android 2.3 update on its way, consumers will surely be delighted with the news.
